Cambodian Cultural Village in Siem Reap

The Cambodian Cultural Village is an amusement park in Siem Reap, where you can learn more about the Cambodian culture. It is located on road 6, the way to the airport. It has a surface of 210.000 square meters and presents an unique concept in Cambodia. The tour starts with the wax musuem which displays scenes from the past. You will also be able to see recreated homes from the Cham, Chinese, Kreug and Khmer people. Don't forget to have a look in the gardens. There are some replica's hidden of landmark buildings in Cambodia, like the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh.  There are several stages on which dances and acrobatic performances will be hold during the whole day. You will get a schedule at the entrance so that you won't miss any of them.  

The purpose of the Culture Village is to entertain and give an insight in the Cambodian culture in a funny and amusing way. It's a very popular place with the Cambodians. They see it as a relaxing day out with the family. 

Foreigners have to pay 15 dollar which is maybe a little too expensive if you can't appreciate the Cambodian comedy.It is open from 9h00 to 21h00. Also be carefull when sitting to close to the stage. You may end up on it.
